Emphasis on Evangelism: Pastor Ken Brown as Guest Speaker

  • Event Details
  • Date & Time:
September 14-15  |  Saturday, September 14, 4-7pm. Regular service times on Sunday, September 15.

Jesus left us with us with the command, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19). Part of the mission statement of First Baptist Church claims that we exist “to glorify God by passionately spreading Christ’s saving gospel and by perpetuating God’s work by reproducing itself in Rockford, Illinois, the United States, and the world.” This event seeks to equip us to better evangelize the lost.

Pastor Ken Brown is a graduate of Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Westminster Theological Seminary. He served for nine years under Pastor Steve Thomas as Associate Pastor at Huron Baptist Church in Flat Rock, MI. In 2001, HBC commissioned Pastor Brown to lead a church-plant team in establishing a new work. He serves with his wife, Kimberly, and their two daughters, Elayna and Anna.

We will meet in our fellowship hall and have two workshops with dinner in between on Saturday, September 14, 4 to 7 PM. Pastor Brown will preach in our main auditorium for Sunday school (9:00 AM), our Sunday AM service (10:30 AM), and our Sunday afternoon service (1:00 PM)on September 15.

If you would like to attend, please contact Pastor Huffstutler by calling the church office: 815-395-0550.
